Inazuma Eleven, known as Endou Mamoru and the Inazuma Kids in the English dub, is a Japanese anime series about soccer. The anime has been adapted into two series: Inazuma Eleven and Inazuma Eleven Go!, which aired from 2008 to 2011. The first series focuses on a junior high school soccer club called Raimon coached by Endou Mamoru with eleven members. While it does not have any connection to the second series, characters from both games often appear in crossover episodes which happened sometimes during episode endings or openings of later episodes. It has been called as one of the most popular sports anime ever made. In 2017, a new chapter based on the second series was released in Japan titled Inazuma Eleven Go vs. Danball Senki W. Inazuma Eleven has been featured in two video games for the PlayStation 2 that have been localized into English: ""Inazuma Eleven" "11 and "". The first video game for PS2 was released on December 27, 2008 in Japan and carries a PG rating. It features a story about Jūshim Otta who is a 12-year-old soccer player from Germany, his rival Takuto Nakatsugawa from Japan and their adventures of defeating evil soccer teams in order to save the world from being destroyed by soccer balls. The second video game for the PlayStation 2, "Inazuma Eleven Go", was released in Japan on January 21, 2009. This video game features a story about Raimon Junior High School Junior High School soccer club which is coached by Endou Mamoru and his eleven players. In this game, the player will attempt to win soccer matches against other teams while trying to get to the World Youth Soccer Tournament in order to defeat the true villain who threatens the world. It has also been localized into English and was released in North America and in Europe in 2010. The in-game "Raimon Junior High School" in both series refers to a real junior high school (Uchibō High School) located near Tokyo. Uchibō High School is located in the Suginami ward of Tokyo and serves students from Kita-NagayalITSumi-Kita-Aoyama, Chūō-ku, Tokyo. The school was established in 1948 and currently enrolls over 1,600 students in grades 6 to 12. The school's mascot is a goat named Naniwa. Uchibō Junior High School currently has a relationship with English soccer team Chelsea F.C.. It was founded in 1952 and currently enrolls over 1,400 students in grades 6 to 12. The school's mascot is a camel named Naniwa and its color is crimson. Raimon Junior High School and Uchibō Junior High School have a relationship with English soccer team Chelsea F.C..
